Smartkidz Heritage Club: Celebrating Seniors Through Creativity, Connection & Care

Since 2021, Smartkidz Heritage Club has been creating meaningful spaces that support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of seniors in our communities. Through a series of vibrant events held in cities like Edmonton, Halifax, and beyond, we’ve been championing the power of connection, culture, and creativity to uplift older adults.

Our most recent event in Edmonton was a heartwarming example of this mission in action. Designed to celebrate seniors through fun, storytelling, and shared experience, the event welcomed local elders for an afternoon full of joy, laughter, and meaningful engagement. From lively games and music to entertainment and storytelling, the day offered something for everyone.

A key highlight was our signature “Sip and Paint” session—a space where seniors explored their creativity through painting, many proudly picking up a brush for the first time in years. These moments of self-expression not only sparked joy but also opened the door to cultural exchange and the sharing of cherished memories.

Each event we host is more than just a gathering—it’s a celebration of wisdom, legacy, and intergenerational connection. As we continue this work, Smartkidz Heritage Club remains deeply committed to creating inclusive, culturally-rooted programs that honour our elders and promote wellness across generations.
