At Smartkidz club, we believe that cooking is an art, and getting kids engaged in the kitchen helps Cognitive Development: Cooking encourages children’s thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. It also allows children the opportunity to use the knowledge they have and apply it by counting, measuring, following a sequence, following directions, and cause and effect. The kids also develop a sense of ownership, and the value of the output and proudly consume the food they created.
We believe food is part of our cultural expression, and as part of Smartkidz goals of heritage preservation, we expose the kids to a wide array of African food and snacks as part of the Smartkidz kitchen experience.
